Frequently Asked Questions
What ages do you work with?
I work with teens, young adults, and adults. If you’re a parent seeking therapy for your teen, I also offer optional parent support sessions and check-ins.
What issues do you specialize in?
I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, identity exploration, trauma, school or work burnout, and major life transitions.
What approaches do you use?
My work blends talk therapy with evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, CBT, and DBT. See my services section for a more detailed explanation of each modality. I tailor the tools we use based on what feels most helpful for you.
Do you offer telehealth or in-person sessions?
I currently offer telehealth sessions via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform to clients living in California or Hawaii
Do you take insurance?
Yes. I currently accept insurance- see my services section for a full list. If you’re using out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for reimbursement.
How long are sessions?
Standard sessions are 50 minutes.
How often will we meet?
Clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum, then shift to biweekly as needed. We’ll decide together what pace feels right.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good match. You can schedule directly here. If none of the available times work, please reach out via the contact page and we can coordinate another time.
What can I expect in the first session?
Your first session is a space to talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to change, and what type of support feels most helpful for you. We move at your pace. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for.
What if I'm new to therapy?
That’s completely okay. I’ll guide the process, explain what to expect, and help you ease in at a pace that feels safe.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
You can cancel or reschedule directly online. I ask for 24 hours’ notice to avoid a late cancellation fee.
Do you work with parents of teens in therapy?
Yes. I offer optional parent support sessions to help you understand your child’s therapeutic goals and learn strategies to support them at home.
